Teen Runaway Location Service

Having your son or daughter go missing is a nightmare than no parent wants to face. Fortunately UCI has the experience and knowledge to help with this crisis.

If you have a runaway teen, or know a runaway teen who needs help, it’s time to give us a call.

How Our System Works:

UCI team leaders work with families to transition them through all the details of the transport. The parent has access to help 24 hours a day to assure that all their needs are met. UCI will assist the family with all aspects of the transport. Once all the transportation arrangements have been made and the pick up location identified our transport counselors will proceed to the agreed location at the appointed time. Usually, the transport counselors will be making the pick-up at the Teen’s residence. One scenario that works well is that the team arrives either late at night or early in the morning to assure that the teen is at home, usually in their bedroom.

Locate Teen Runaways To Protect Them

No one wants to deal with family problems that seem to come out of nowhere or be out of control, but when these situations happen it is critical for people to look at the situation the way it is and know what their options are to help. UCI specializes in locating runaway teens and being able to find them and relocate them to a safe place where they can feel safe, receive intervention, and get the support they need whether for mental health, drug rehabilitation, or whatever else.

There are many different problems that can pop up suddenly during the teenage years. Sometimes it’s the sheer number of hormones being thrown about the body, sometimes there are other factors involved that are making things even worse. Whatever the reasons, whatever the problems, our specialists are up for helping get your loved ones off the street, out of a bad situation, and bring them to a better place to get their life together and begin healing.

Many Reasons To Rely On UCI

There are many good reasons to rely on the professionals at UCI to help locate your runaway teenage and get them to a safe spot. First of all, our professional private investigators are absolutely exceptional at tracking down individuals, even those who traditionally “drop off the grid.” They can pick up the trail and quickly locate a runaway teenager.

Our specialists never aim to harm – they will relocate the teenage runaway to a safe zone where there will be no access to drugs or alcohol, and the area is safe from intrusion. In the safety of this safe zone recovery can begin whether recovery from drugs, from the psychological trauma of living life on the streets, and from whatever other situations might apply. This is an important time and it is always handled as needed, properly, and with plenty of supervision.

There are many reasons to give our professionals a call, with just a short list including (though not limited to):

  • Drug abuse intervention
  • Intervening for alcohol abuse
  • Handling violent outbursts
  • Sex trafficking intervention
  • General behavioral issues
  • Adolescent intervention and counseling specialists

An Out Of Control Problem

The statistics really are terrifying. Over one million teenagers are living on the streets or basically “unsupervised” at home. 9% of teens have admitted to using illicit drugs on a regular or semi-regular basis. Millions of women tragically experience sexual assault of some kind during their teenage years.

This leads to a lot of anger, a lot of depression, a lot of pain, and even outright hopelessness. For a teenager who already has so much to deal with changing hormones and the emotional and mental turmoil that brings, these added issues can be overwhelming. Many teenagers don’t have the tools to deal with them, especially if in the throes of addiction or a broken home.

We all need to remember that this is not a hopeless case. These teens can recover, they can overcome even the worst of trauma, and they can live full and happy lives – if someone who cares for them intervenes early enough to help.

Why Extraction?

Would you put a drug addict in a room with drugs? Would you make an alcoholic live and work at a bar? Getting a runaway teen out of an unstable and dangerous situation safely is priority #1. That’s the only way to get to a place where they can feel safe, where they can vent and work through their addictions or problems safely, and where they can get the help that they so desperately need.

Is This Dangerous?

The most dangerous thing to do is allow a runaway teenager to stay in a situation that involves drug, alcohol, physical, or sexual abuse. Our professionals go out of the way to make sure the teenager is extracted from those situations as safely as possible, often willing to put themselves at extra risk just to make sure the troubled teen can be safely transported to a safe place for recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers
If your loved one is missing, keeping companionship with a criminal element, living on the streets, or on the verge of imprisonment or death, we can facilitate a unique, individualized, leveraged intervention catered to your loved one’s dire situation.
An intervention is a strategically planned and executed action in which a positive change is applied to a person whose thoughts and behaviors have become detrimental to themselves and those around them.

Most professionals who have studied interventions, or implement them, tend to agree that Vernon Johnson first defined a necessity for intervention technique in the early 1960s. He thought family could unite and convince an addictive drinker to accept help for his ailment. Rev. Johnson, a pioneer in compassionate chemical dependency treatment wrote the 1973 milestone “I’ll Quit Tomorrow” as the blueprint for the various forms of interventions and their use then and today involving not only addictions to alcohol but also drugs, gambling, sex, self abusive behavior, eating disorders, violent rage, and more recently computers.

The decades since Johnson’s studies have produced many variations on his themes and professionals now meet a wide range of environments and issues. The ground zero is no longer just a personal and family dimension it extends to the workplace and involves the boardrooms of Corporate American, the military, the media, all forms of celebrity from sports to movie and television stars, even the medical profession has doctors and nurses surrounded by their addictions as a part of their daily job description. ‘Executive Interventions’ are often instigated in companywide programs designed to define and solve problems with all workers and thus increase the strengths and resources of the worker and thus the corporation.

Intervention as a common remedial action has increased simply as more and more people hear about its practical ability and its updated application to a wider range of addictive circumstances. These occasions and circumstances have created a professional interventionist service industry working everywhere from the company boardroom to the darker societies of the inner city and everywhere in between.

No, it is not true. Most victims of behavioral disorders or addictions do not think they have any kind of problem at all. If you ask them if they have a problem or address them as an addict they will deny it. You might find the occasional partial admission: – “Everyone gets angry now and again”, “Everyone has a few too many drinks once in a while”, and “Most people experiment with drugs in their lifetime,” their life habits are no different than everyone else in their mind.

Something has to happen in their lives to make them want to accept help.

Intervention is the first step in a sequence of events that can mend their soul and change and restore their lives.

It isn’t how someone gets into treatment so much as what happens once they are in treatment. Intervention is more an enabling action directed towards treatment. Ultimately the final decision to enter the road to wellness is decided upon by the person with the problem(s). Speaking from experience we can help with decisions aimed to make all concerned feel comforted about the actions needed and the time necessary to make a person well again.

As with any service industry the Professional Interventionist has a reputation built on experience.

Education, a contemporary understanding of the wide range of today’s behavioral problems, human compassion, and client and patient trust are all ingredient to your selection of the correct Interventionist.

Your comfort level in understanding and trusting what you learn about this type of professional care-provider is important as these qualifications and talents should be easily recognizable as what you need in assisting your loved one to the care and treatment they need.

Find out how long they have been in the business and what educational background, formal training and working experience they have had since entering the field. Similar cases and how their plans were actually carried out should be volunteered as well as their outcome.
Make sure they have had ample and recent experience with your type of circumstance.

Feel content that your questions are answered fully and to your complete understanding.
Find comfort and confidence that they have the knowledge, compassion, discipline and strength to carry out what they define as the best route to facilitate the treatment of your loved one. Their experience will assist you in gauging the urgency of your situation, the path it should follow and the degree of safety it will entail.

A professional interventionist not only knows how to construct and enable an intervention he/she also knows the best facility for rehabilitation relative to the patient’s condition and needs. A professional knows how to get a candidate there effectively and safely. Recent experience in similar interventions is a valuable asset to the professional and thus the client. Constant research on clinics and facilities, knowing their success ratios and current availability for new patients is part of their service. As complex and stressful as these situations are you do not have to go through it alone.
The goal of an intervention is to get your loved one into treatment as soon as possible. The first step involves conducting a confidential meeting either in person, or over the phone with an individual’s concerned family members and/or loved ones to gain valuable insight into the individual’s unique circumstances, history of addiction, etc., assess whether an intervention is necessary, and the possible treatment options available. Appropriate treatment facilities are then contacted, and arrangements are made in advance, so that upon conclusion of the intervention the individual can be immediately escorted to the appropriate treatment facility. An individualized intervention plan is then developed and executed, upon which our highly experienced team confronts the individual, encourages the individual to seek treatment, and escorts the individual to the appropriate treatment facility.
After an intervention our team typically helps refer and escort an individual into an appropriate treatment facility where they can get the type of help they need to take the first step toward a happier, healthier life.
Each person is unique. Therefore, every intervention is unique. Our team of professionals cater each intervention to an individual’s unique circumstances.
The goal of an intervention is to encourage the individual to agree to accept help and proceed to relieve their suffering and the suffering of their family and friends.

Extreme Intervention is an internationally respected organization and part of that reputation comes from being fairly priced within a professional and competitive service industry.

Airline tickets, car rentals, accommodations and other such costs can be quickly calculated even for last minute situations. Rates for Interventionists will be established based upon the circumstances of the intervention, transportation or missing person investigation. Please contact us for additional details.
